If one is to know the TRUTH of the Creator, It's Creation and our Relationship to all that Exists by observing and contemplating the Physical Universe, one will eventually become forced to admit that our task is somewhat like that of a man, who has been blind from birth, attempting to Understand the Moon. Many other things can be Known by such a person through other sensual experiences; objects, sounds, tastes, the wind, wetness, heat, cold etc. And by explanation of how some things that cannot be experienced directly are in someway similar to others that have been, a fairly close idea of what those unknown things are can be determined. But how would one explain the Moon? Light and Darkness have no relevancy. It neither emits heat nor cold. A globe may be placed in ones hand but how does one fully communicate the concept of orbit, the great distance from the Earth or the phenomenon of it's phases?
I contend that to such a man, blind from "birth" there would exist three distinct and separate "Moons".
Second: The Moon, understood by his Intellect. ever incomplete, no matter how well it were described or how talented his teacher. Forever a "Quarter Moon". Third: The "Essential" Moon or the Moon as it resides within His Soul. The Moon that is a part of the universe that is cohabitated by the man. The Moon that acts upon the man in the same way the man acts upon the moon. The "Full Moon"! We cannot touch God directly, He is Physically unknown and unknowable to us in our condition. He is forever "New". And though great minds and sages have given us many great concepts and insights, we don't know a "Quarter" of what He is about. But deep within our souls, a some small, still point, He resides and speaks to us in "Fullness".
